Need Property to put in Mud Farm

Posted by Oil Field Trash on September 20th, 2006

I’m looking for a couple hundred acres to put in a Mud land farm. The Drilling Rigs uses mudd to help seal and carry the drill cutting to the surface. When the well is complete the mudd is usually spread out next to the location and plowed in. But sometimes there is no room to do this ,example a well drilled on a rocky hill side. So they need places to land farm this mudd. I have taken several hundred loads and the gas companies ask me to help them find other location to put mud. They pay up to 1000 per ac to do this and they pay all expences, plowing fencing roads ect. Call me if you are interested. Need locations in Somervell, Hood,Erath,Johnson,Bosque counties. 254-898-0566

Drilling Mud is not benign it can contain salt, diesel, and abnormal Ph.
You may want to have a closer look at the mud before it’s disposed on your property.

Land prices in the afformentioned counties have gone through the roof as of the past 3-4 years , some areas of Somervell are 7-10 thousand dollars an acre for raw land minus improvements, you might be able to find some old peanut field land around Comanche cty. where it might be quite a bit cheaper,so many people buy land around Glen Rose for recreation and beauty that it has steadily pushed the market higher and higher with no end (at least for now)in sight!

My dad put down chicken sh^^ for BO Pilgrim. They used a terragator that injected it under the soil but every buzzard in Arkansas showed up anyway. If you got any on you your clothes were ruined. Your truck would stink for 2 wks if any got under your fenderwells.

Even the chicken stuff has arsenic and other heavy metals in it. Drilling mud can be oil based, mostly diesel. It can be solid based with lignite, chromium, lignosulfanates, and other chemicals which might ruin the value of ur land.
