As of 6/2/06 in Region 7B & 5 which includes Cleburne & Glen Rose there was a total of 172 active drilling rigs. That almost the same as Louisiana @192 and Oklahoma @ 182. Texas has a total of 742. Texas accounts for almost half of the drilling rigs in the Unuted States. Way more than the entire country of Canada @293.
