What the Gas companys are doing is drilling on the Cheap Leases they signed up years ago to freeze the leases even if they have to pay a shut in lease. Once they drill on a lease that ties it up. A Shut in royality is way cheaper than resigning or loseing a lease. A friend signed up with Quicksilver 3 years ago and he is getting flooded with offer to buy his minerals. He is fustrated because they have not drilled on him and he is actually thinking about selling his interest. I told him they are setting him up and they where using a sister company to make offers on his interest. But he ain’t listening to me.

Well my oldest daughter graduates friday night.. She e-mailed me the other day and said “12 years of this s### is long enough I told her to hang on 2 more weeks and she be free of this place. Then she found out they had trouble with her SAT and she would need to retake it june 3. Just can’t get away. She has already been accepted to college I told her to blow it off. But she want’s her record to be correct. I hope she can spell better than me. Well you know where i will be friday night. The last month has been busy I put together some big deals, just to get shot down on another. We hire people and they don’t show up for work, the one’s who show up have their probation officer call and confirm their whereabouts. I love the oilfield but they make it hard to keep people. I have 4 dump trucks and 1 driver. have 3 heavy equipment haulers and 1 driver. unless you count me. That explains why I haven’t been bloging much. been to damn busy.
