Bosque Country Rumor

As to drilling in Bosque County, XTO has a major plan to do bookoo drilling there. XTO drilled 2 wells on the 10XXX ranch. The first one had some bad luck, the frac boy’s got a little happy and over fraced in to the Ellenbuger. Better known as Old Ocean. Mind you my information comes from different people, with different sub-contractors, I take what I hear and piece it together kinda of a information puzzle. Anyone interested can go to Texas Railroad commision.com and click on “interactive data” then click on “Permits” then go to the very bottom of that page and type in the county you would like to look at, then scroll to the 05 and 06 permits, find permits pulled by XTO and it will tell you the startus of the well, dry hole, producing, shutin, ect. You can pull up plats and see right where the wells are.

I have tryed to find out where sundance is planning on drilling near walnut springs but it not permitted yet. sundance is joint ventured with shell, I probably will sigh a lease with them this week at my chalk mountain ranch. quicksilver has made me a good offer but sundance will top it. I have enough ac’s for a horizonal well with out being pooled. the gas companys like it that way.

  4. Janie Says:

Depotoo – ask the landman for references. Then call them and get them to schmoozing, you might figure it out…

“I heard there was a lot of activity at their office in Rio Vista this week, now I hear through the grapevine they sold out. Anyone know if it’s true?

The rumors I have heard are that Sundance has partnered with Shell Oil and T. Boone Pickens. They also may be involved with Quicksilver. They have been leasing heavily in Hill, Bosque and Johnson counties in the last few months and just permitted and started a well on the Johnson-Hill county line south of Rio Vista.
The rumor goes on to say that their strategy is to start an aggressive drilling program in Hill and Bosque as soon as the results are in from the seismic surveys being done right now in the Blum-Whitney-Brazos River areas.
Permitting and drilling activity near Blum and Rio Vista have increased in just the past few weeks with 4 new rigs (several operators) going up within 1 to 3 miles of Blum, with 2 additional pads being prepared.
I’m hoping it’s all true since since my property is in that path.
Johnson county is still “hot”, with 20 permit applications submitted in the past 10 days alone, some by Sundance.
Production figures from Hill county are still not being displayed by the RRC.”

I’ve been approached to lease minerals in bosque county. Offer is at $150 an acre and 20% royalty. what is the going deals curently. Any names for attorneys reading lease agreements? They want 3 years lease. Would like responses esp. if anyone holds leases signed recently.

  10. Oil Field Trash Says:

hey LP I know people have leased for 10$ a ac. and I know some that have leased for 650$ a ac. 20 to 25 percent is a good precentge. E-mail Hollin Shaw Land man @ hollinkay@yahoo.com she deals with quicksilver.
