Well everyone told me that the oilpatch would bust open after the 1st. And they were right, we are busy busy busy. Seems the smaller independence gas boy are ready to roll. We are sending machines to leases in Somervell, Hood, Johnson, Tarrant, Wise, ect, ect. If this keep up I’ll need to double my rental fleet. You know 4 to 8. You do know why the wise old oilfield contractors rents instead of buy? Because they know just how volitile the oil bussiness is. One day chicken next day feathers. Eenie Menie Miney Moe, drill gas well two and Fro. It they take the Frac in a good way, make them pay 50,000 each day.

I cannot remember a year I diden’t go to the Stock Show. First started back when we were kids to show our livestock, as we got older it became a yearly event to party and meet new ,well lets just say that I haven’t always been fat and ugly. I have had Booths there in the commerical halls selling My different bright ideas. You get lots of people from all parts of Texas, and of course parts unknown. It’s kinda of a mini world fair. One thing you will never forget it the smells of nature coming from livestock quaters. You can buy a beer sit back and watch policeman step in cow pattys. One thing that I find Funny is the people that dress up western for this one day in their lives. Women can wear anything, but the greenhorns wear their straw hats, roachkicker boots and lets not forget the red plaid shirt. You can spot them a mile off. And don’t forget the rodeo, I enjoy listening to the announcer repeat what old joke the clown is try to tell. Well time to go I don’t want to miss the Bareback Barrel racing.

Hey spike the pipeline you are talking about is a EOG line running from Peaks Tolar Plant along those Godzilla towers to Erath Co. The contractor is Flint out of Odessa, to A well drilled almost a year ago, named Mitchell 1, just off of CR 2481 between Bluffdale and 3-way on US67. This is a 8″ high pressure line, and I don’t know much about the bussiness but that’s a large line going to a single well. PS this rain is really sweet.

All I know about Sundance is they bought the prize bull at the Somervell Co. youth fair. Now about the cut pipline, it was near Quicksilvers gas plant on the east side of the Brazos, where 2471 deadends into Lattimore’s Stripmine.

Many years ago a retired railroad worker discovered gold in the paluxy. For years he slaved away amassing a fortune in gold dust. He died happy and weathy. He left his fortune to his nephew a friend of mine. It was in 8 1gal pickle jars. He had no car so he asked me to give him a ride to Ft. Worth. We went to see a jeweler at Seminary South. My friend had been talking to the jeweler and the jewler was excited by his chance to buy pure gold dust. When he run test on the dust it turned out to be iron pyrite (fools gold). It seem the old miner never checked to be sure. We took the jars back home I still have one of them, he gave it to me for the ride to Ft. Worth. And now for the rest of the story. The old miner because of his greed bought up all the paluxy river property he could afford. This too was passed on to my friend, turns out there really is gold in the paluxy (well under it).

From my Rainbow Office if you look south you can just see the top of the derrick. I’m fairly sure it is a saltwater desposal well, but that’s a good thing . And it’s still across the Brazos. Let’s talk a little bit about the well at Rough Creek, I spoke with the powers at be and they indicated that they found a 200 ft. plus thick barnett seam. That is a great wonderful thing. I will keep a eye on the flowback boys and hope for the best.

Well someone finally got it. It amazes me when people ask me what it means? I just wish a Gas company would see it. I have 2 Drill Here billboards, one is at Rainbow and the other at Chalk Mountain.
