Shell may Share Wigwam W/ Chief (Pow wow in progress)

Shell Oil Company aka Royal Dutch Shell. Ticker (RDS) is comming to town. This is for sure I think? My sources close to the action says Shell is moving 6 rigs up from south Texas. No one that I know has leased to them. But plenty have leased to what they thought where small private land companys. Could be that these small land companys are not so small after all. Rumors have it that Shell will ride in on Chief Leases. But me think Big Chief have plenty of wampoom and no need Shell. I will be down in Barnett country this week and will put my ear to the ground and listen for Shale,I mean Shell. (Found out later the Deal is off)

Keep us posted on what you hear. There was talk a month ago that Shell was interested in Chief. Chief said they were not for sale. We’ll see.
By the way how many acres do you have at Chalk mountain? Sounds like you have plenty if they are still considering drilling for gas even after drilling a disposal well.
Seismic company was eyeballing your lakes for the water. There was rumor of drilling to stop for 6 months in Johnson county due to water shortages. With permits still being pulled I guess it was just a rumor.

Well what I have been hearing is that Shell is buying EOG and then moving their own rigs up to drill with also. Every now in then it pays to know who to eavesdrop on. But, keep in mind that the man has been saying get ready for alot more work after the first of the year. This will really work out well for the company I work for seeing how we do work for Chief and Eog. Shell is just another coal in the fire. The only problem I see with this is there are not enough hours in the day.

If shell plans on buying EOG they better dig up some very large spam cans.
